Fair Pricing Policy

TippyMart aims to give our buyers a pleasant experience on the site. Therefore, we are implementing a strict policy on fair pricing. Although our sellers are free to set their own prices, TippyMart shall monitor the prices of posted food items and shall compare it to other similar items on and off the site. This way, we can track on-sale foods that are excessive or overpriced, conduct appropriate actions, and keep the trust of our buyers.

The following price setting are prohibited:

    1. Misleading Reference Price Food items that are not available elsewhere except Tippymart but have an excessive price.
    2. Overpriced Food Item Prices Prices which are unnecessarily high compared to other similar products.
    3. Manipulation of Prices Deceiving buyers by changing an item’s excessive price into a normal price point to create an image of a fake discount.

Should a seller and their respective post break this policy, TippyMart has the right to remove the post and give a warning. If this persists, suspension of account may occur.

Sellers’ Code of Conduct

TippyMart’s Code of Conduct discusses responsible and acceptable practices in conducting a business under the site. Any seller account that breaks the policy shall face strict consequences including the suspension of their respective accounts and/or facing appropriate legal actions.

Sellers (herein referred to as “sellers” and “users”) have the ability to post products and conduct business on TippyMart (herein referred to as “the site” and “us”) as long as they abide by the rules and regulations. TippyMart has the right to conduct an audit or investigation should we notice or receive a report regarding any suspicious action performed.

The following activities are prohibited:

    1. Disclosure of information of either the buyers or TippyMart for any purpose other than legitimate business transactions.
    2. Excessive or unreasonable use of TippyMart where sellers repeatedly post the same products in an excessive amount although deemed unnecessary.
    3. Unfair behavior that is considered manipulative, or damaging to other sellers. Activities that involve, but is not limited to, manipulation of prices and reviews, and any action that aims to ruin other sellers’ reputation.
    4. Misleading and inappropriate behavior such as misleading information of accounts and posts, inappropriate or offensive food items, or any unwarranted conduct during buyer-seller communication.
    5. Any action that may break the Trust of buyers such as scamming or providing items that are different from what was posted.
    6. Any illegal acts which are prohibited and punishable by Philippine law.

All sellers are expected to abide by TippyMart’s Seller Code of Conduct, other policies, and adhere to all applicable laws.

Tippymart

Prohibited Items/Listing Policy

WhileTippyMart is considered an online selling platform and a way to connect various food entrepreneurs and food enthusiasts, TippyMart urges all sellers to follow the rules and avoid selling any prohibited items which will be discussed in this policy. Likewise, we wish all buyers to avoid or report any listed items that are against TippyMart’s rules and regulations. For the protection of both buyers and sellers alike, TippyMart expects both parties to abide by all the rules in order to avoid any legal and/or health risks. The following listings are prohibited in TippyMart:

 

    • Non-food Products
      In order to keep Tippymart a food-centered haven, we wish all sellers to keep their listings strictly food related. 
    • Advertisements
      Any form of listing that acts as an advertisement urging buyers to transact outside of TippyMart is strictly prohibited. Inclusion of websites and/or facebook page links are allowed should it not act as its own list per se. 
    • Drugs, Medical Drugs, Tobacco, Drug Paraphernalia
      TippyMart strictly prohibits any form of Tobacco, Drugs, Drug Paraphernalia, Medical Drugs (whether with prescription or not), and any other substances prohibited by the Philippine law.
    • Misleading Discounts
      Any form of price manipulation which intends to deceive buyers through editing a former excessive price into a normal price tag with the purpose of creating a fake discount is strictly prohibited. In order to maintain safe and trustworthy transactions, TippyMart shall approve of any price reductions before allowing any changes on the site.
    • Obscene Content
      Any food items which contain any obscene content shall not be tolerated. This includes pornography and any items which suggests sexual content and/or images that are against the standards of morality and decency.
    • Human Parts
      Human parts/organs either for consumption or medical use is strictly prohibited. 
    • Live Animals
      Live animals whether for consumption or not is not allowed. This also applies to fish, poultry, and livestock raised to produce food and any other commodities. 

Note: This rule does not apply to raw meat which can be used as ingredients for cooking.

    • Offensive Material
      Any item promoting hate shall not be tolerated in TippyMart. This includes, but is not limited to, food with designs that are offensive or insulting to people (ex. racial slurs, anti-LGBT, etc.). 
    • Breastmilk Substitutes
      In accordance with the Philippine Milk Code of 1986, any feeding bottles, milk products, etc. marketed to replace breastfeeding is considered prohibited. Any company or professional individual violating the Milk Code shall have their licence revoked or suspended, or be imprisoned with a fine.
    • Listings that Violate the E-Commerce Law
      All rules indicated in the E-Commerce law shall also apply to TippyMart and its users.

The prohibited items/listing policy is included in TippyMart’s Terms and Conditions. Should anybody be caught violating any of the following, strict consequences shall be observed.
