Knowledgebase: How to Bulk Edit Products

Bulk editing is the best way to manage multiple products at a time! If you have over 50 items it would save you a lot of time to edit them all at the same time.

TippyMart allows you to select and edit multiple products with a single click.

Step 1 Go to Products

From the Seller Dashboard, select products at the left side of your screen

Step 2 Select the Products 

Select the desired products you want to Bulk Edit by clicking the check-boxes next to the products you want to edit.

Step 3 Select Bulk Edit

Select bulk edit at the right side of the screen. 

This will open a prompt where you can change the product data in bulk.

Step 4 Change Product Data

Edit or change the desired product data information.

You can use the drop-down list to see the different ways you can change the product data. 

For more information on the product data you can edit, you can check out Steps 4.1 to 4.9:

Step 4.1 Edit Product Status

For product status, you can choose among draft, pending, published, and archived.

Having a product saved as draft will allow you to save the product details but will not be published and seen by your customers.

Publishing the product allows your customers to see the product.

Archiving the product will remove the product from your store but you can still see it in the archived products section. 

Step 4.2 Edit Product Price

Choose among change to, increase existing price, decrease existing price.

If you want to increase the product price select increase existing price then enter the amount you would like to increase it by.

Similarly, if you want to decrease the price of a product you can select decrease existing price and enter by how much you want to decrease it by.

If you want to input the new price, you can simply select the change to option.

Step 4.3 Edit Product Sale

Choose among change to, increase existing price, decrease existing price, set regular price decreased by. 

It works similar to changing your product price except you are setting the sale price or the discounted price of your product.

Putting your product in sale will automatically get your product featured under the yummy food deals in the TippyMart Homepage. 

Step 4.4 Edit Product Visibility

Choose among catalog, catalog & search, search, hidden.

This setting is where you can decide where your product will be shown.

Selecting between catalog, search, and catalog & search will allow you to show your product on the selected page while having it hidden will only show your product on your store page. 

Step 4.5 Edit Product In Stock

Choose among in stock, out of stock, on back order.

This is for your customers to see if the product is in stock, out of stock, or on back order.

Putting your item in back order means that your customers will still be able to purchase your product even if it is out of stock. 

Step 4.6 Edit Product Manage Stock

Select the options yes or no.

Choose yes if you want to be able to manage your stock quantity and monitor it.

Choose no if you don’t want to input a stock quantity and your product will always show as in stock. 

Step 4.7 Edit Product Stock Quantity

Choose change to to enter the stock quantity you want to change it to.

Step 4.8 Edit Product Back-orders

Choose among do not allow, allow but notify customers, allow. 

As earlier mentioned, putting your item in back order means that your customers will still be able to purchase your product even if it is out of stock.

If you do not allow, customers will not be able to purchase out of stock items.

If you allow but notify customers, it will show that your items are for back order.

If you allow, customers will be able to purchase your items as they would normally. 

Step 4.9 Edit Sold Individually

Choose among yes or no. Decide whether your product can be sold in only one quantity for one order.

Step 5 Click Update

Once done editing click Update to save changes made. 

And you’re done! You have edited your products at the same time! 

For other product information changes you cannot edit using the bulk edit tool, you can also edit your CSV file and re-upload it using the import or bulk upload tool. Just make sure the update existing products box before uploading in order to edit your existing products.
